What is ready-ready.org?

ready-ready.org is first and foremost a dragon boat team management site; we’re not trying to replace team pages, and we’re not a dragon boat social network. ready-ready.org is a site where all dragon boaters and dragon boat teams come together.

We know how complex and stressful organizing a dragon boat pre-season can be, and after the season starts we know how difficult it can be managing the team. After 6 years of being a part of dragon boat, I’ve noticed that recruiting for new paddlers is always an effort for each team. Finding the right paddlers for your team has always been an issue, but often enough we’ve run into the problem of finding enough paddlers for your team to start the season.

Likewise we’ve found that new paddlers or paddlers that have moved to new locations have a difficult time getting on to a team. I’ve always felt that getting into dragon boat was all about who you knew, and if you knew someone who dragon boats, you might be able to get on their team.

And for that reason alone, ready-ready.org was created. We wanted a website where all paddlers could go to find a team to join, and a place where all teams could go to fill up their rosters.

Then we started expanding. Features were constantly added, and from recruiting we quickly ramped up enough features to completely run a team simply by using our site. And through constant revision, you see the ready-ready.org here today.
